Opening Day - March 31
Cold and windy, but blue skies and beautiful soccer
From 8:30 am, when parents and players started trickling in for the early games, while the wind was still biting and cold, to nearly 5:00 pm, when it began to feel a bit more like Spring, we had a great start to the Rec season today. I want to especially thank Ladio Hanzes for his great work in having the fields set up and ready for us, Kevin Roche for an excellent start to the UK Elite Training, and all the coaches and division directors for preparing and organizing before today. Most importantly, we’d like to thank the players, whose efforts never come up short, whether it’s cold, windy, snowy, rainy or meltingly hot. We hope each and every one of them enjoyed the start, and will continue to enjoy the entire season.
We will try to post pictures every so often (if you take any good ones, please get them to your coaches). Take a look to see if we caught anyone you know:
